Mangaluru, August 22: Health and Family Welfare UT Khader inaugurated the Mega Blood Donation camp organized at the Milagres College Auditorium in the city on Saturday August 22nd.
This camp was organized under the joint organization of the Lions Club Mangaluru Netravathi in association with Indian Red Cross Society Blood Bank, Mangaluru, NSS, Youth Red Cross Unit of the College, and Media Alumni Association of Mangalagangotri.
Minister Khader addressed the gathered and said Blood donation can save lives and is a noble work. On this occasion, he urged the youth to come forward to donate blood and also encourage others towards this cause.
Mayor Jacintha Vijay Alfred, Principal of the College-Rev. Fr. Michael Santhumayor, , Rev. Fr Valerian D’Souza, Correspondent, Ronald Fernandes, Chairman, IRCS, Mangaluru, Peter Pinto, President of JCI Mangaluru, Prabhaker Shriyan, Chairman, Indian Red Cross Society Blood Bank, Mandakini Upadhyaya, President, Lions Club Mangaluru Netravathi and others were present.
On this occasion, about 75 people donated blood.
