Mangaluru, August 14: The much awaited Tulu comedy film ‘Super Marmaye’ produced under the banner of Anand Films and presented by Adyar Madhav Nayak, produced and directed by Ram Shetty was released on Friday August 14th at Jyothi theatre here.
The film was released simultaneously ten theatres such as in Jyothi, Big Cinemas, Cinepolis and PVR theatres in Mangaluru, Kalpana in Udupi, Amarashree in Moodbidri, Radhika in Karkala, Arun in Puttur, Bharath in Beltanagady and Nakshatra at BC Road.
A Sadananda Shetty, chairman of Shree Devi Educational Trust inaugurated the ceremony by symbolically lighting the lamp.
Addressing the gathering, Sadananda Shetty said, Ram Shetty is a famous name and he has worked in the Hindi, Kannada and Tulu film industries. He congratulated the whole team and wished well for the movie.
Siraj Ahmed, proprietor of In-Land Builders said, many Tulu movies are coming up and they are doing well. He congratulated the team and wished great success for the movie.
Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy former president Umanath Kotiyan, entrepreneur Lakshmeesh Bhandari, Kishore D Shetty, Megina Malady Balakrishna Shetty, Prakash Pandeshwar, Jayaram, karnur Mohan Rai, DK District Journalists’ Association president Jagannath Shetty Baala, Vetarian journalist Manohar Prasad, film’s producer Adyar Madhav Nayak, director Ram Shetty, actor Shivadhvaj, Naveen D Padil, Aravind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Gopinath Bhat, Raghavendra Rai, actress Divyashree, Shradha Salian and others were present as the chief guests.
