On Monday, Chaitra returned home after school. She later left from home stating that she was going to attend tuition classes, but did not return home later.

This incident came to light after a woman found a plastic bag containing a uniform and a school bag in a narrow passage. The woman handed them over to the nearby Garodi temple. When the people at Garodi temple examined the school bag, they found Chaitra’s identity card in which her parents’ details and contact number were available. They immediately contacted her father and informed about the matter.

Rangappa rushed to Garodi temple. He identified the items which belonged to his daughter. Although a search was conducted for Chaitra later, she was nowhere found.

The CCTV footage at Garodi temple revealed that Chaitra had entered the premises in uniform and left in casual dress. Later she had board into a city bus number 9 from Garodi.

Kankanady police arrived to the spot and investigated.

The city bus number 9 was then stopped for a few minutes, but the girl was not found and none of the passengers in the bus had any idea about where she had got down the bus.

Kankanady police have registered a case and search is on to trace the missing girl.
