Mangaluru, July 17: The “Bantara Yane Nadavara Matrusangha” has organized a felicitation program for its community members who have been newly elected in the recently held Gram Panchayat elections across Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. The event will be held at AB Shetty hall near bunts hostel here at 9.30am on Sunday, July 19th.
Ajithkumar Rai, President of Matrusangha will preside over the ceremony. Mumbai MP Gopal Shetty, and former Karnataka MP Jayaprakash Hegde will be the chief guests, informed President of Matrusangha Ajithkumar Rai.
Addressing a press meet organized in the city on Friday, July 17th, Ajithkumar said, many candidates belonging to Bunt’s community have won in the recently held gram panchayat elections. If the gram panchayats which are the foundations of the democracy, function in an appropriate way, the development of state and country is possible. Felicitating the newly elected candidates from the community will encourage them to enthusiastically serve for the overall development of the society. Along with this, it helps the association to develop and maintain a close relationship with the citizens of all communities in rural areas.
Since ages, the Bunts community is ahead in spiritual, political and social sectors, and also helps people of all communities and lives in harmony in the society and has gained reputation and affection of the citizens for its paradigm. In this view, a felicitation programme has been organized to honour the people of this community who have been newly elected in the recently held gram panchayat elections across Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts, said Ajithkumar.
The president of Matrusangha Maladi Ajithkumar Rai, office bearers, executive committee members and all the members of the association have cordially invited the newly elected members of the community to participate in this programme and make it a success.
