Two days state-level conference ‘Sangama Sambhrama-2015’ to be held in Mangaluru.

Mangaluru, July 15:  A two-day state-level conference ‘Sangama Sambhrama-2015’ on the theme ‘Modern day crisis – Cultural response’ will be held at Cha Fra D’Costa Sangama Kshetra, Dr Shivaram Karanth Pilikula Nisargadhama, Vamanjoor, here on July 25th and July 26th said Roy Castelino president of  Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy. Department of  Kannada and Culture, Bengaluru in collaboration with Karnataka Tulu, Konkani and Beary Sahitya Academies will organize the conference.

This was announced in a prèss conference in the city on Wednesday July 15th, jointly organized by B A Mohammed Haneef president of Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy, Janaki Brahmavar president of Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy and Roy Castelino president of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy, who briefed about the conference.

Roy Castelino briefing about the programme said, a procession will be taken from Vamanjoor junction on the opening day in the presence of ministers, MLAs’, all the invited guests, cultural teams from various parts of Karnataka, and academy presidents.

On the first day, minister for Kannada and culture and women and child development Umashree, 65 invited scholars from all over Karnataka, and other dignitaries will arrive at the event. Classical music by Karnataka Sangeeta Nritya Academy, Dollina Pada by Karnataka Folk Academy, Moharam Pada Tatwapada and plays will be exhibited by the Karnataka Nataka Academy. Even on July 26th, many cultural programmes will be showcased, he said.

Janaki Bramhavar said, three days of preliminary events like painting and sculpture art camps will be held prior to his event. To depict the Tulu culture ‘Tulu Isiri’ programme will be organized, to spread the cultures of Beary ans Konkani and Beary, ‘Pernal Sandhola’ and ‘Konkani Sambhram’ will be held respectively. During these three days various programmes, camps and food stalls will also be there, she said.

Mohammed Haneef said, with a view to promote and nurture the language, culture, art and literature of the state, this conference is organized.

Registrars of Beary, Konkani, and Tulu Academies Umarabba, Dr B Devadas Pai, and Chandrahas Rai, respectively were present among others on this occasion.
