Mangaluru, July 9: In an operation carried out early morning on Thursday, July 9th, the Barke police have rescued 16 cattle which were being illegally transported .
As per reliable information, the police raided a spot near Mannagudde- Barke Durgamahal junction and seized the vehicle used for cattle trafficking. Sixteen cattle were in pitiable state which were being illegally transported in the vehicle.
Police with the help of locals have shifted the cattle from the police station to other place. Pertained to this, a case has been registered at the Barke police station.
