Cleanliness drive and awareness about Dengue fever prevention

Mangalore, June 21:Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat helping unit, Village Panchayat Bellare,health department,Bellare,higher secondary school,Bellare,Pre-degree college,Bellare,NCC,NSS and in co-ordination with Auto owners association have jointly organized ,a cleanliness drive and awareness about the dengue fever and other contagious diseases and its prevention programme.

 In the beginning procession has started from Bellare Ambedkar Bhavan and passed through Bellare city’s Maastikatte and at Bellare city awareness has been created about the cleanliness and contagious Dengue fever and its prevention amongst the public.

On the occasion Nirmala Bharatha Abhiyana,Dakshina Kannada zilla panchayat,Mangalore has distributed pamphlets, handbills about Dengue and malaria disease and its prevention ,to shop owners, public.

Asha Thimmappa Gowda, Zilla panchayat member and consultant Rohit M R, health officer from zilla panchayat and gram panchayat staff have visited the hotels and shops created awareness about the cleanliness and its impact and checked the hotels and shops premises.

Thereafter sharp at 12.00 pragramme has been started.

N S D Vittal Rao, President Gram panchayat presided over the function.Zilla panchayat member Asha Thimmappa Gowda, Taluk panchayat member Anil Rai, Grama panchayat vice president and grama panchayat all the members, Zilla consultant Rohit M R,K K Jayaprakash,health officer from primary health centre were on the dais.

Zilla consultant Rohit MR spoke on the occasion about the cleanliness and epidemic diseases and its prevention in detail.

K K Jayaprakash from health centre, prime resource individual, zilla panchayat members advised the public to maintain cleanliness in their respective premises and prevent the spread of contagious diseases.

Subashchandra compered the programme and welcomed the gathering and Anand, grama panchayat member proposed vote of thanks.Around 200 people participated  in the programme including school children and public.
