Mangaluru, June 15: The installation of HD controllable cameras on experimental basis to all the PCR vehicles under the Mangaluru City police jurisdiction has begun, which is also done on a experimental basis in other parts of the state too. On an experimental basis, this has been already installed to the PCR vehicles of Pandeshwar, Ullal and Suratkal police stations.
These cameras possess high resolutions and are of good picture clarity. It has the surveillance capability from inside the vehicle to a distance of about 400metres and throughout 360 degree. The complete information can be obtained from the image which can be viewed in the monitor from inside the vehicles.
This is a modern technique employed by the police to avoid accidents.
