Mangaluru, June 9: An accident took place after a two-wheeler collided to an electric pole near Maryhill on the airport road here on the evening of Monday, June 8th. The rider was seriously injured.
As per the witnesses, the accident took place while the rider attempted to overtake another vehicle, hit an electric pole which was placed on the road by the MESCOM department.
As an impact of the accident, the rider fell on the road and suffered injuries. The locals rushed the injured rider to the hospital.
The front portion of the two-wheeler was badly damaged.
Due to the heavy rains, visibility was poor and the electric pole was not erected but was placed on the road at an unexpected place without any indicators being placed for the vehicles.
