Mangaluru, June 1: Father of a girl who had expired in a fire accident, which was alleged to be suicide case later; has ended himself on Monday, June 1st.
Ramanna Poojary, resident of Kukrabettu in Marodi gram panchayat is the deceased.
His daughter Bhagyashree (18) had died in a fire accident at her house on April 6th-2015. Ramanna reportedly hanged himself in the same house.
It is learnt that Ramanna was disappointed with the investigation into the death of his daughter, and hence took this extreme step.
Sources said, Bhagyashree’s parents have been reportedly saying that their daughter had died in accidental fire and were dissatisfied with the probe.
Bhagyashree, who was known to be a bright student, had come home during revision holidays from Moodbidri where she was studying.
On April 6th, she was expired in a fire that engulfed her house when she was all alone. It was later alleged that she had committed suicide due to love failure, and her cousin Guruprasad was arrested in this regard. It was also alleged that Guruprasad had kept a death note in the girls room putting the blame on a relative.
Guruprasa is still in judicial custody.
