Mangaluru, June 1: Duos who approached a woman on a bike have managed to flee with her gold chain on Sunday, May 31st morning.
Leelavathi S Kattige (51) went for a walk in the morning at around 6.30am on Sunday. While she was walking near Shree Krishna Seva Samithi building, two youths approached her and fled with her gold chain valued at Rs 75,000.
A complaint has been filed at Kadri police station. She says she will be able to identify the chain snatchers.
As the price of gold has risen, incidents of chain snatching are going on frequently.
