Mangaluru, May 31: The “World Tobacco Free Day”, was observed at the Police Commissioners office here on May 31st, Sunday, under the aegis of DK district legal services authority, District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, Health and Family Welfare department, Police Department, Bar association, Mangalore City Corporation, and District Wenlock hospital here.
District Chief and Sessions Judge Uma M J inaugurated the event. Deputy Commissioner Adoor B Ibrahim presided over the event.
President of Mangaluru Bar Association- S P Chengappa, DK District Superintendent of police Dr S D Sharanappa, DCP (Crime) Vishnuvardhan, ACP (Traffic) Udaya Naayk, and other officials were present on this occasion.
Awareness rally office was organized as part of the event from Government Wenlock Hospital to Mangaluru Police Commissioners office.
