Mangaluru, May 31: MLA J R Lobo inspected the Gujjarakere lake developmental works at Jeppu here on Saturday May 30th and said that he has asked the officials to take appropriate measures to ensure that the drainage water do not leak into the pond.

MCC Assistant Executive Engineer Anil said, as all the manholes are filled, it is difficult to find out the point of leakage. In addition, the pumping machine of wet-well has been spoilt. After fixing the new machine, the garbage in the drainages will be removed. As the pipes of the drainages are old, they may break if more pressure is applied while pumping. Hence the work will be completed step by step, he said.
