Illegal entry to Airport : Police release youth after thorough probe.

Mangaluru, May 27: The security personnel’s at the Mangaluru International Airport handed over a youth to the Bajpe cops on the charges of illegally entering into the Airport on the morning of Tuesday, May 26th. The youth had arrived to drop his family at the Mangaluru International Airport.

The youth identified as Iqubal (23), resident of Balepune in Konaje gained unauthorized entry into the airport. While he was exiting, he was detained by the airport security officials who investigated him. Later Iqubal was handed over to the Bajpe cops for further investigation. After taking Iqubal into custody, the Bajpe cops conducted a thorough questioning and released him in the evening, it is learnt.

Details of the incident:

Iqubal along with his father, mother and two other relatives had reserved tickets on Tuesday to travel from Mangaluru to Muskat. At the last moment, as Iqubal’s mother had suffered from ill health, he had canceled his ticket and booked the ticket for June 6th. But, he brought his father, mother and two of his relatives to the airport without canceling their tickets.

The four who presented their tickets, entered the airport while Iqubal showed his canceled ticket to the officials and entered the airport. The official’s who noticed him returning back without boarding the flight, grew suspicious and detained him. When they questioned Iqubal, he could not give appropriate answers. Immediately, the security officials handed him over to the Bajpe cops for further investigations.

Police investigations:

The Bajpe police who probed Iqubal till evening, after gathering all information about him, released him later.

“We have investigated Iqubal who had illegally entered into the Airport, after taking him into custody. He said, as there were heavy luggages, children and women he had been inside. But, whatever may be the reason, unauthorized entry is not permitted. We have investigated about his background, as there are no bad intentions we have released him on a warning”, informed the Balpe Station Sub-Inspector Ramesh Hanapura.

Actions if repeated: Radhakrishna

Director of Mangalore Airport Authority,  J T Radhakrishna has warned that, none is allowed to trespass into the Airport. The public must be careful about this. Officials have been deployed at the Airport, and the public’s are not permitted to violate the rules. If such incidents repeat in future, appropriate legal actions will be initiated.
