Mangaluru, May 16: HPCL dealer Prakash who had been protesting from the past three days demanding justice from the HPCL addressing a press meet here on Saturday May 16th, said, MLA J R Lobo has assured that he would provide me justice by discussing the matter with HPCL and other concerned authorities and asked me to stop the protest. Hence I am withdrawing the protest for ten days and if HPCL fails to grant justice to my family I will continue the protest again, said Prakash.
Because of HPCL my family is on the streets. I have become a victim of its officials. From past three days, I was protesting and when MLA J R Lobo approached me and held meetings with HPCL, the company officials have lied in the meeting, alleged Prakash.
During the press meet, Prakash mentioned two HPCL officers who he said to have troubled him a lot. Right from beginning since I started my business in 2007, I have become the victim of these officials. Mangaluru HPCL officers Mahesh Kumar and Naveen Kumar M G are responsible for all the problems. Due these two persons, sales and purchase at my petrol bunk has been halted.
Due to pressure from these officials, I had no option but continue to work with another partner named Dasharath who was introduced by them. I do not have anything to do with the due amount of 25 lakh rupees, for which the HPCL has blamed me. HPCL has not done any investigation and there is no complaint against me either. I have the entire related document with me. I have been troubled by police and an underworld don also. There is proof for that the money was being transferred to Dasharath’s personal account and even the pending KSRTC amount was taken by him, he said.
After I filed FIR against Mahesh and Naveen, the investigation was supposed to finish off within 30 days; it was not at all investigated. I am happy that I availed the job scheme from the government. But these HPCL officials are playing with our lives which really sad, said Prakash.
Conversing about Dasharath, Prakash said, I never knew Dasharath until he was introduced into the business. Even Dasharath is from Mudigere. There are no documents showing Dasharath as my business partner. HPCL has only vocally said that he is my partner, and only for three months we carried the business together.
On this occasion, Dalit Sangharsha Samiti (DSS) leader Keshav, Vishwas Kumar Das, Chandra Kumar, S P Anand and others were also present.
