Mangaluru, May 1: Lakumi cine creations much awaited Tulu movie “Ekkasaka“ produced by Lion Kishor D Shetty, founder of the renowned theatre artists team Lakumi artists, Mangaluru, Lalithe artists and leads group of companies; was released at Jyothi theatre in the city on Friday, May 1st.
Former chancellor of Hampi University and folkloristic Dr BA Vivek Rai released the Tulu movie “Ekkasaka” by formally lighting the lamp. In the 44 years history of Tulu movies, during the recent two-three years, the number of Tulu movies has drastically increased. This is a good growth in the field of Tulu Movie, which shows light towards the Tulu Language, and Tulu Culture said Dr Vivek Rai and wished success for the movie.
“Ekkasaka” Tulu cinema is simultaneously released today in various theatres across the Dakshina Kannada district such as Mangaluru’s Jyothi, Big Cienmas, PVR, Cienepolis, Udupi-Kalpana, Manipal-Inox, Moodbidri-Amarashree, Karkala-Radhika, B C Road-Nakshatra, Puttur-Aruna, and Belthagady –Bharat.
Producer Lion Kishor D Shetty has said that the movie has come out well and has asked every one to watch the movie and bless the movie crew.
Literaturist Seetharam Rai, film director Sanjeeva Dandakeri, former president of DK district Tulu Sahitya Academy Umanath Kotiyan, D K district Working Journalist association president Jagannath Shetty Baala, entrepreneur Prakash Pandeshwar, artist Mohan Rai Karnur, Kavitha Shastry and other guests were present.

Six songs sung by renowned singers…
Cinema has six songs. Renowned singers of Kannada cinema such as Chandan Shetty, Anuradha Bhat, Santhosh Venki, Simha-singer of Telgu Cinema- Race Gurram has given his voice for a song.
Along with these singers, renowned young entrepreneur of Dubai as well as renowned background singer Harish Sherigar and Akshata Rao Dubai have sung for the movie.
Assistant directors are Dinaker Shetty and Mohan Koppala Kadri. Devi Rai who has worked for publication design of various Kannada and Tulu movies has also worked for this movie. Overall the movie along with the love story comprises of comedy and entertainment too.
