Mangaluru, April 27: Horekanike was taken to Urwa church here on Sunday April 26th; as part of the post-centenary golden jubilee celebrations of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Church, Urwa; from St Dominic Church, Ashoknagar.
The grand Horekanike procession was flagged off at St Dominic Church, Ashoknagar under the leadership of parish priest Fr Walter Rodrigues.
Fr Victor D’Mello speaking on this occasion said, post-centenary golden jubilee of Immaculate Conception Church is being celebrated. Through Mother Mary, Lord has showered immense blessing on our church. The closing ceremony of the celebrations will be held on May 1st. As part of the post-centenary golden jubilee celebrations many programs are organized.
He thanked all the families and priests of St Dominic Church, Urwa friends association, Jai Bharathi vranda for giving the Horekanike. He also thanked corporators Rajneesh and Radhakrishna for their support and taking part in this Horekanike. On this occasion, he thanked one and all for extending their support.
Waltor Rodrigues Parish Priest of Ashoknagar Church, Jeevan Sequeira, Assistant Parish Priest of Urwa, and others were also present.
