Beltangady, April 20: A father and son were mowed down to death after their bike was knocked by a lorry, at Ujire here on Monday April 20th.
Anand and Dinesh, residents of Gandhinagar in Laila are the deceased who were painters by profession.
It is learnt that the duo were riding their bike from Ujire towards Beltangady. As they reached near Benaka hospital in Ujre, a lorry laden with sand collided into their bike.
As an impact of the accident, one of them expired on the spot, the bike fell off the road and slid into the garden close by. The other person expired on the way while he was being shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru. The lorry was plying towards Bengaluru.
A case has been registered by Beltangady police.
