Mangaluru, April 20: Swami Pranavananda, chief of Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha said on Monday April 20th that the statue of Mahatma Gandhi’s assassinator Nathuram Godse will be installed by his outfit in Mangaluru and five other districts in the state.

Swami Pranavananda addressing a press meet in the city said, the statue of Nathuram Godse will be installed in Mangaluru by Hindu Mahasabha. Nathuram Godse was a patriot who had taken ‘Deeksha’ from Veer Savarkar. No matter what others say, but we will install his statue, he said.

He said, he has already submitted memorandum to the deputy commissioner asking for space to install the statue, but is yet to receive a reply. Nathuram Godse’s statues will also be installed at Ballari, Chitradurga, Bengaluru, Mysuru and Vijaypura. We have submitted memorandums to the DC’s of all these districts, reply is not yet received. The statue in Mangaluru will be five foot tall, he informed.

When queried why his outfit decided to build only Godse’s statue and not of any other leader’s, he replied, when there can be statues of and roads named after Tipu Sultan and Aurangazeb who demolished our temples, what is wrong in installing statue of Godse?

He also said that in future the Hindu Mahasabha will be contesting elections. With an aim of building a Hindu Rashtra, the Hindu Mahasabha is planning to contest in all the elections in the future, beginning with the BBMP elections, he said.

He also urged the probe into the deaths of Lal Bahadur Shastri and Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Syama Prasad Mukherjee. There are suspicions that Jawaharlal Nehru and the Congress were involved in their deaths, hence the matter should be probed.

Demanding the release of Malegaon blast accused Sadhvi Pragya Thakur from jail, he said, the BJP is joining hands with PDP has released separatist leader and Pakistan terrorist Masarat Alam. But Sadhvi Pragya Thakur who is battling cancer is still in jail. She should be released on bail, he said.

He slammed the union government for following anti-Hindu politics by forming coalition government in Kashmir with Mufti. The BJP should break the alliance with that party (PDP) as they are not letting Kashmiri pandits to live in Kashmir.
