Case of Girl burnt in fire – Death note found, case takes a new twist.

Beltangady, April 17: A new twist has been observed in the death case of a college girl due to fire accident at her house in Venur which had taken place recently on April 6th.

Bhagyashree (18), daughter of Hosamane Ramanna Poojary and Shahikala, residents of Kukrabettu falling under Marodi gram panchayat limits expired due to fire which had engulfed her house.

Bhagyashree, was a student of Alva’s College in Moodbidri. She had come home for study holidays. This incident took place when she was alone at home.

In the beginning, it was thought to be an accidental fire. However, after a death note was found reportedly written by Bhagyashree has created a twist in the case.

A death note was found on Thursday, April 16th under the mattress when her room was being cleaned. It is learnt that, in the death note, Bhagyashree is said to have named Shivappa (49), a far relative who stays in the same neighbourhood.

Venur cops had earlier investigated Shivappa earlier, but he was left to go. But once again he was detained on Thursday for further probe.
