Mangaluru, April 3: It is reported that a youth has committed suicide at a rehabilitation centre at Capitanio, Mangaluru on Friday April 3rd.
Alwyn Fernandes (27), a resident of Kalmady is the deceased who was the son of the late Joseph Fernandes and the late Theresa Fernandes.
About 20 days ago Alwyn had attempted at Kalmady, but he survived and was admitted to a hospital in Manipal. Post discharge, he was shifted to the rehabilitation centre in Mangaluru, said sources.
Police sources said, on Friday morning Alwyn had been to take bath. Later he was found hanging from the bathroom’s window. The exact reason for the suicide is not yet known.
Alwyn is survived by a brother.
