Terrible Tipper –Car accident, three of the family expired, two injured.

Sullia, February 19: In a gruesome tipper car accident, three members of the same family expired and two others were badly injured. The accident took place on Wednesday February 18th at Kollamogaru here.

The deceased have been identified as Laxminarayana Bhimaguli (65), his wife Chinnamma (55) and their son Avinash (35) who were residing at Panja. Avinash’s wife Bhavya and a child, who were also travelling by the same car have suffered serious injuries.

It is said that this accident took place when a tipper lorry which was plying from Mangaluru to Sampaje collided to the car. The car was moving from Madikeri to Sullia, it is learnt. After the collision, the tipper lorry had turned turtle.

As a result,  Laxminarayana and Avinash breathed their last on the spot. Chinamma expired while she was being shifted on the way to the hospital. Police sources said that negligence of the tipper driver caused the accident.

The tipper driver was also injured in the accident and who is admitted to hospital.

A case is registered by Sullia cops.
