Mangalore, May 31: A case of robbery has been reported in the city on May 30, Thursday morning.
It is said mother Khaleeda, aged 55 and her daughter Farah Kausar, aged 28 have alighted from Bangalore bus at Jyothi circle and hired a auto rickshaw to go to Bikarnakatte.But auto-driver instead taking them to Bikarnakatte, telephoned on the way to two of his friends and diverted the auto to unknown place and then forced them to part with their valuables.
When the women resisted the three men inflicted scratch injuries on their hands and neck and robbed of their cash and gold.
Thereafter assailants dropped the women on a roadside and make their way from the place of incident. Both of them have been admitted to one of the private hospitals in the city.
Women informed their relatives later and lodged a complaint with police.
