Mangalore, may 31: Addressing the media personnel in the press meet held on May 31, Friday, Fr.Richard Coelho, administrator of Fr.Muller Medical college and hospital said in his speech that BA hospital, Thumbay has been taken over for Rs 18 crore and has been under the management of Fr Mullers since May 1 and new management will be inaugurated on June 2.
He further said the 100 bed capacity hospital is well equipped with the state- of- the art facilities and has got good infrastructure to ensure best possible treatment to the patients.
Full- fledged OT, labour theatre, ICU ventilator and full- fledged medical lab etc will be available to extend better service to the patients, he added.
The hospital will also have various departments which include general medicine, obstetrics and gynaelogy, padediatrics, opthaamology, physiotherapy, ENT and dental clinic.
Rev Fr Aloysius paul D’souza,Bishop of Mangalore Diocese will preside over the function.B Ramanatha Rai,State minister for forest, ecology and environment and district- in- charge,UT Khader,state minister for health and family welfare,JR Lobo,MLA and B Ahmed Haji Mohiuddeen,founder and chairman of BA group,Thumbay will be the chief guests.
Fr Rudolph D’souza, Administrator, Fr Mullers charitable institutions, Dr Sanjeev Rai, chief medical services officer were present at the press meet.
