Bantwal, February 7: On the charges of allegedly uploading a modified ugly image of Sadhvi Saraswati on Facebook, a case has been lodged against a youth.

Sadhi Saraswati is expected to address during the Hindu Samajotsava programme scheduled on March 1st at Nehru Maidan, in Mangaluru. As part of the golden jubilee celebrations, the convention is being organized.

As per the complaint filed by VHP and Bajrang Dal, Mohammed Naufal (24), residing at B Mooda village in Bantwal taluk, has defamed Sadhvi Saraswati by creating an ugly image of her and uploading it on Facebook. The complaint urged for immediate action against the accused. This act is a planned attempt to ruin the Hindu Samajotsava that is going to be held on March 1st, read the complaint.

The complaint also bears a warning that, they will not be responsible if any untoward incidents take place in future because of this. They urged that matter must be probed well and suitable action must be initiated against the accused.

A case stands registered at Bantwal town police station on the basis of complaint registered against Naufal under Section 66 (A) of the IT Act.
