Mumbai Feb. 05 :- Iqbal Kaskar, brother of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, has been arrested and produse Sewri court on charges of extortion and assault following a complaint by an estate agent.
Kaskar was deported in 2003 from the United Arab Emirates. However, in 2007 he was acquitted in all the cases.
Police said,in the complainant filed by a real estate agent and Kaskar’s cousin, last week alleging that he was assaulted by Kaskar when he refused to cough up ‘extortion money.’ A case of assault and extortion was registered, following which Kaskar was summoned on Tuesday to the police station in South Mumbai and placed under arrest. Additional Commissioner of Police, South Region, Mr. Krishan Prakash said the media that Mr. Kaskar would be produced in the local court.
