‘Hovercraft -196’ dashes to tree: Losses of over Rs one crore estimated.

Mangaluru, January 30: “Hovercraft-196” which had recently joined to the Coast Guard has on the land after dashing to the acacia tree on Thursday morning, January 29th near Panambur, here.

It is said that the incident took place during early morning around 5am, due to turbulent winds when the hovercraft was being driven to the sea, informed the coast guard officials to the Panambur cops.

Along with this hovercraft, other two hovercrafts were parked near a tower on the land at Panambur beach. Recently the state governor had launched these hovercrafts.

The media persons were banned of taking the photographs of the hovercraft.

Damage to the balloon part: This craft is capable of moving on the land as well as water which is internationally built and costs Rs 60 crores each. The damage at the balloon part of the craft has incurred losses of estimated over Rs 1 crore.

The hovercraft which is capable of moving on the land and the sea is built using modern technology. This incident has arouse has paved way for too many suspicions. The locals and the fishermen have urged for the detailed inquiry regarding this incident.
