Mangaluru, January 26: Deputy Superintendent of police (DySP), Dr H N Venkatesh Prasanna, has been chosen to be honoured with President’s Medal in recognition of his meritorious services and achievements. He is currently posted in the office of inspector general of police (IGP) here.
Prasanna, is identified as one of the most effective and efficient police officers in the region. He was successful in handling a number of high profile criminal cases while working for district crime intelligence bureau and city crime branch in the city.
He had earned recognition and glory in handling various cases related to underworld and terrorism and putting down such elements with an iron hand.
Prasanna was also conferred with doctorate relating to his research in history of police department.
Pratap Reddy, former IGP of western range; the present IGP of Internal Security Division, Bengaluru, has also been listed for President’s Medal for his distinguished service.
