Mangaluru, January 14: A Kidney awareness rally was organised in the city under the collaboration of Mangaluru Nephro-Urology Charitable Trust, Nursing Colleges and NGO representatives, under the banner “Saving Kidney Serving Nation” on January 13th.
The rally is organized as part of the “Kidney Health Campaign” from January 13th to March 12th and various programs will be held during this span.
The rally was inaugurated by MP Naleen Kumar Kateel. Rally began from Jyothi circle and ended at Nehru Maidan in the city. A stage program was organised post the rally. The rally was organised with a view to educate the layman about the kidney health and the ailments.
S Ganesh Rao welcomed the gathering. Dr Mohammed Saleem proposed the vote of thanks.
Students of various nursing colleges and pharmaceutical colleges took part in this rally.
MLC Ivan D’souza, MP Naleen Kunar Kateel, Mayor Mahabala Maarla, many medical staffs along with students were present during the campaign.
