Mangaluru, December 24: It is alleged that an assistant of a cable operator has sexually assaulted four-year-old girl child at her residence in Deralakatte, out-skirts of Mangaluru on Tuesday, December 23rd.
The accused youth is Ashraf (23), a resident of Kedambadi, Manjeshwar. It is learnt that he was working under a cable operator Pradeep.
It is gathered that on December 23rd, had visited the girl’s house in the pretext of repairing and colleting the cable bills.
It is said that Ashraf is said to have entered the house to fix the cable problem. The girl and her brother were watching him while he was repairing the cable. The accused is said to have asked the boy to go out and fetch his tools. It is alleged that, the accused tried to sexually assault the girl who was alone in the room. When the children’s mother saw the boy outside and rushed into the cable repairing room and the incident came to light.
Accused fled the venue when the mother called the police.
Accused has been arrested. It is also learnt that the accused is a ganja addict.
Konaje cops have registered a case.
