Puttur, December 2: A man who was facing the charges of Kidnap of a married woman was reportedly kidnapped and forced into a Maruti car near the court premises by some persons on Monday December 1st.
The kidnapped man is Denson, who is facing allegation of abducting a married woman named Keerthika (24) from Puttur, was reportedly abducted when he was sitting in a Tata Sumo vehicle near the court complex here.
It is learnt, Denson had arrived from Bengaluru to appear before the court, when Keerthika’s father, Nityananda Vaidya, her husband, Giridhar Bhat, and two unidentified persons forcibly took Denson away.
In a complaint filed by Denson’s father Joseph, on Monday December1st, at Puttur town police station; he has stated that when he and his son were waiting to appear before the court in the morning, the above persons who had arrived in a Maruti car have kidnapped his son.
A complaint was filed earlier in the Puttur town police station on September 13th– 2014, Denson was accused of abducting Keerthika.
Keerthika, a BE graduate, was married to Giridhar Bhat, a photographer from the town. Later Keerthika began working in Bengaluru. After learning about the relationship between Keerthika and Denson at Bengaluru, Giridhar Bhat ensured that she quit her job and started living at her home town.
It is learnt, Denson continued to keep in touch with Keerthika through a friend after she shifted to her home town, but her family was not aware it. It is gathered that Denson had kidnapped Keerthika from Kallare, Puttur on September 13th 2014, and took her to Bengaluru. Following the complaint, the Puttur cops had visited Bengaluru and tried to trace her, but they did not succeed.
No more information about Denson or his abductors could be gathered yet.
