“Abhaya Ashraya, which was founded by Bekal Lingappayya in 1972 for four old people in rented premises, is now home of about 200 homeless. The home spends about Rs 3 lakh only for the medical expenses of its inmates. It will be of great help for the home if people sponsor food for inmates during wedding, birthday or any other occasions,” he added.
