Mangaluru, November 07: The arrest of Satish Baikampady, prime accused in the murder case of fishermen leader Gangadhar Pangal was jollified by the members of Mogaveera community by bursting crackers in Baikampady area during late evening on November 6th, Thursday. Satish Baikampady went absconding post the incident which happened in May 2014.
Gangadhar Pangala was killed by purposely by colliding a car against his scooter, reportedly out of personal enmity. Prima facie, it appeared to be an accident, later it was transparent that the incident was a planned murder. All the other accused in the case were arrested by the then Panambur SI Bharathi led team, Satish was absconding and was successful in obtaining an anticipatory bail from the High Court.
The Suratkal cops recently arrested him and he was produced before the court.
