Brisk preparations are going on to celebrate “Vishwa Tuluvere Parba”.

Mangalore, October 27: The “Vishwa Tuluvere Parba” will be organized for three days from December 12th on wards at Sahyadri Engineering College campus at Adyar on the outskirts city.  Brisk preparations are going on for this programme which is organised under the collaboration of All India Tulu Federation and Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy.

The framer of the historic Vishwa Tulu Sammelana which took place in 2009, Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr D. Veerendra Hegde, under his guidance and chairmanship this conference is organised. As an advance to the conference, various literary, cultural and sports programs belonging to Tulu culture are organised in different parts of the state.

Various Taluk and District level committees are set up to significantly organise the conference in a meaningful way said, the Chairman of the “Vishwa Tuluvere Parba” Board, State’s Forest Minister Ramanath Rai at a press conference on Monday October 27th.

In the “Tuluveisiri” competition organised for the member organizations of the Tulu Okkuta during the conference, 20 teams from and other states are participating. He said, during the conference, cultural, literature and entertainment competitions will be held in the two stages simultaneously, he said. He also added that, variety programmes will be organised in memory of Mulki Sundarrama Shetty.

Pundi Panavu Donations:

In the Parba, a variety of ethnic food of Tulu Nadu will be introduced. The exhibition stores and galleries will display variety of items to the Tuluvas who arrive from abroad. This function will be launched by the Chief Minister of the state Shri Siddaramaiah.  The financial committee president Professor M B Puranik has requested the Tuluvas to come forward and aid the cause.

The “Pundi Panavu” collection campaign has already begun and he has requested each Tuluva contribute Rs 100 towards it.

The interested sponsors and supporters for various events are expected and the volunteers are welcome. The interested artists, writers and organizers can contact Parba committee before October 31st.
