Mangalore, October 22: The customs officials at MIA have traced gold even today from a passenger who arrived from Dubai on Wednesday, October 22nd by Jet Airways at 7.30 am.
The passenger is identified as Shafeeq Chakli(25), resident of Mogar house, Mogralputhur in Kasargod district.
He had illegally carried 224.75 grams of gold valued Rs 6,13,568 in the form of silver colour paint coated wires concealed in the beadings portion around the edges of a black coloured laptop bag.
Investigations are on.
