Bail granted to the accused Satish Baikampady in Gangadhar Pangal murder case.

Mangalore, October 22: The High Court has granted anticipatory bail to Satish Baikampady the main accused in the murder case of Ganghadhar Pangal, the latter was a leader of Mogaveera Sabha Baikampady and the trustee of Urwa Shree Mariyamma Temple.

Satish Baikampady had submitted a statement to the HC stating that few people who had grudge on him have raised false allegations to spoil his reputation and he does not any connection with the alleged murder.

The court has granted the anticipatory bail to the accused and also ordered to release Harish Baikampady and Bhaskar Baikampady through the bail.

Advocate P P Hegde had argued on behalf of the accused.

Case details:

The leader of the Baikampady Mogaveera Sabha Mr Ganghadhar Pangal was travelling by his scooter during night on May 14th. Meanwhile an over-speeding Bolero vehicle had rammed his vehicle from the rear end. As a result Ganghadhar Pangal was thrown to the road who succumbed to his grave injuries.

There was a difference of opinion between Ganghadhar Pangal and Satish Baikampady about the administrative matter of Mogaveera Sabha. A complaint was filed at Panamboor Police station stating that, Satish Baikampady along with his brothers has coupled with the same hostility to murder Ganghadhar Pangal by making the vehicles to collide each other.

During investigation, the cops had arrested the Bolero vehicle and the driver Pushparaj who was responsible for this accident. Meanwhile, Satish Baikampady had absconded, but his brothers Bhaskar Baikampady and Harish Baikampady were arrested by the cops. The cops has filed charge sheet to the court stating that, Satish Baikampady had provoked to kill Gangadhar Baikampady by ramming the vehicles. The JMFC court in Mangalore had issued a warrant to arrest them and a special team of cops was formed to arrest them.
