Mangalore, October 14: Woo turned into a violent fight between the Tiger Kumar and Tigress Bunty at the zoo in Pilikula park on Monday which is in the outskirts of Mangalore city.
The four and half years old Tigress was badly injured in the fight. The tiger Kumar was let into the cage where tigress Bunty was present for copulation. They remained quiet for some time and suddenly burst into fight. During the fight, the tiger Kumar held the throat of the tigress Bunty and it was badly wounded.
This incident occurred around 4pm. The officials who observed this informed the in-charge doctors of the zoo. The other tigress were evacuated from the same enclosure and tigress Bunty was treated.
The doctors at once rushed for the treatment of the Tigress and tried their level best to save it but in vain. Tigress Bunty lost her life due to grave injuries.
