Veera Venkatesh charitable trust scholarships felicitated to G.S.B students.

Moodbidri, October 14: The scholarship was distributed to students of the G.S.B society on October 12th Sunday, at the Sukritindra Kala Mandir in Venkataramana temple at Moodbidri. The scholarships were felicitated by the Veera Venkatesh charitable trust of Sri Venkataramana Temple in Rathabeedhi, Mangalore.

Ceremony began with a prayer and was inaugurated in presence of dignitaries by the chief priest of the temple Mr Veda Murthy M Harish Bhat.

The Secretary of the Sri Veera Venkatesha CharitableTrust spoke on this occasion and said, the trust which is yet to celebrate its decennial ceremony is providing a total sum of Rs 18lakhs as scholarship for over 825 G.S.B community students at Dakshina Kannada in the current year.

He said, the scholarships are provided at the same time on the same day, after Mangalore, students from Moodbidri, Bantwal, Puttur and Mulki are provided the assistance. The students must perform well in their academics and also carry on our Heritage and culture. The students must exhibit their talents and must render their service to their home town.

28 hobli high schools, 15 PUC, 18 college, and 6 post graduation, like wise a total of 67 students were given the Mijaru Govinda Pai – Mijaru Manorama Pai remembrance and the aid of Mundkur Jayashree Ramdas Kamath scholarships bearing a total of over 1.5lakhs cash was given as scholarships to the students.

During this ceremony, member of Sri Veera Venkatesha Charitable trust Krishna Prabhu, trustee of  Shri Venkataramana and Shri Hanuman temple Jnaneshwara Pai, M Ashoka Mallya, the entrepreneur Aravind Pai was present.

Managing trustee G Umesh Pai welcomed the gathering.  Trustee P. Ramanath Bhat briefed the details of the students. S. Manoj Shenoy proposed vote of thanks and M Ganesh Kamath compered the program.
