Mangalore, October 4: The Beary language day was celebrated on Friday by the Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy at the academy’s office.
Janab B.A. Mohammed Hanif presided over the function. Giving a traditional touch to the inaugural ceremony by beating the “Daph”, the function was inaugurated. The sub-editor of the Sudha weekly Janab B. M. Hanif expressed his opinion and said, it was a meaningful ceremony.
The principle of Mangalore university shree Satyanarayana Mallipatna expressed his opinion and said, the message conveyed through literature is not as strong as the language and the contribution of the Beary language is unique, he said.
Senior author Mohammad Baddur, Principle of Badriya PU College Dr N Ismail and the president of the Al-Badriya group of educational institution Haji B.M. Mumtaz Ali were the chief guests.
During this occasion, the great achievers in Beary language Abdul Aziz Baikampady, Ibrahim Tannirubhavi, B.A. Samshuddin Madikeri, Rahim B.C.Road, Ismail Moodushede, HAmza Malar and Mohammed Sharif Nirmunje were felicitated on behalf of the academy.
Umarabba, the registrar of the academy welcomed the gathering. Member of the academy and also the member convener, Janab Hamid Padubidri compeered through the program. The member of the academy, Abbas Kirugonda proposed the vote of thanks.
