Mangalore, September 30: The Bhima Jewellers with its 89 years of heritage and a promise of purity is launching its new showroom near SCS Hospital, Bendore, Mangalore on Wednesday October 1st at 11 am.
A press meet was organized on Monday September 29th, by the Bhima crew at Motimahal Hotel to announce the opening of their showroom.
B Krishnan, managing partner of Bhima Jewellers, addressed the media and said that this is their 9th showroom in Karnataka. “Bhima has enjoyed great patronage amongst the people of Bangalore who are drawn by our purity and exquisite craftsmanship and it is time for us to show our craftsmanship to the people of Mangalore,” he added.
Rashmi, CEO of Bhima, in her speech, said, “People of Dakshina Kannada are very loving and caring. It is a splendid homecoming feeling that we have got from everyone. And we would also like each of our customers to feel at home, get personalized attention, and take back a happy Bhima experience.” She also briefed on the making of the jewellery.
Vishnu Sharan K Bhatt, partner, Bhima Jewellers, said, “The showroom also has separate sections for the gen-next collection that is youthful, a kid’s collection that comprises of anklets and earrings, and a men’s collection comprising of watches, bracelets, and chains.”
This new showroom will be inaugurated by N Vinaya Hegde, chairman, NITTE Group of Institutions. The first gold will be made to Dr Ashajyothi Rai of Aasare Charitable Trust (R) and the first sale of diamond will be made to Vaishnavi V Kamath, partner, Mangala Cashew Industries.
On this occasion, Chief manager Srinivasan and production manager Ramesh were also present.

Bhima Bhattar
Bhima Bhattar was born in 1904 in Udupi and in 1925 he founded Bhima Jewellery in Alleppey, Kerala. Today, 89 years later, Bhima is one of the most respected jewellers of South India and have successfully shaped them into a brand that stands for purity and trust.
B Krishnan, son of Bhima Bhattar expanded Bhima to the garden city Bangalore in 1999 at Dickenson Road. In time, the brand soon opened five more showrooms across the city with the latest one being at Phoenix Marketcity, Whitefield.
Since inception, it focused on the principle of selling pure gold.
Today it has outlets in many cities and towns of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka including India’s largest jewellery showroom at Trivandrum.
