Mangalore, September 20: A woman was killed on the spot near Talapady check post here on Saturday September 20th, when she came under the rear-wheels of a private bus while boarding it.
The victim has been identified as Amina (55), wife of Mustafa, residing at Talapady.
It is gathered that Amina lost balance and fell when she was about to board into the 43 number Padma private bus from Talapady check-post. The rear left wheel of the bus ran over the woman killing her on the spot.
On witnessing the death of the woman, the locals staged a protest.
It is reported that the driver and the conductor have escape from the spot.
Ullal police have inspected the spot and pacified the protestors assuring of taking proper action and registered a case.
