INDORE: Angered over continued live-in relationship between their mother and a middle-aged man GajanandRav, two youths set afire the man in Pardeshipura area here on Thursday evening. Golu and Vishal, aged 18 and 19 years respectively, were booked on Thursday night for attempted murder of Gajanand, but the duo are yet to be arrested.

Gajanand, 40, was allegedly set ablaze by Golu and Vishal, residents of Feroz Gandhi Nagar, at his rented accomodation in Ganesh Mandir locality under Pardeshipura police station. The twosiblings fled from the spot after the incident. Spotting Gajanand in flames, his landlord rushed him to a nearby hospital.

“Gajanand has alleged that the two siblings wanted to kill him over his continued live-in relation with their mother. A case under Section 307 of IPC has been registered against the two siblings and further investigations are underway,” Pardeshipura police station in charge Vinay Arya said on Friday.

The police are also probing the possibility of Gajanand setting self afire to frame up the two siblings in a false case.
