The two most popular Khans of Bollywood — Salman and Shah Rukh – are soon going to be neighbours. Salman Khan, who grew up in Galaxy Apartments, in Bandra, Mumbai will reportedly shift to Sagar Resham, a building two houses away from Mannat, Shah Rukh Khan’s palatial bungalow in Bandstand, Mumbai.
Salman, who currently lives with his family in Galaxy Apartment is very attached to the house especially because he has a lot of childhood memories associated with the building. While he occupies the ground floor his parents live on the first floor. Hence for sentimental reasons, Salman has for so long put off any plans of moving out. But now the actor thinks that the place has become too crammed and he needs to move to a bigger property.
Last year, Salman told a that “I have not been able to move out of this house. I have been living here since childhood, and I’m used to everything about it. But it’s about time I get out of my current residence. It’s getting increasingly uncomfortable here, with no place for my shoes and clothes,” he had said.
A report quoted a source saying that the building, Sagar Resham, where Salman Khan is moving, has a clear view of the sea. The apartment where he will be living is currently owned by a Gujarati family and Salman paid close to Rs 100 crore to buy it from them. The deal has almost been finalised.
Salman and Shah Rukh Khan, who had been close friends at some point of their career turned enemies few years back. A heated argument between the actors at the birthday bash of Katrina Kaif in 2008 created a rift between the two stars. Although there is no reconciliation on the way, at least they are all set to be neighbours.
