Sri Lankan beauty queen Jacqueline Fernandez, who shot to fame with movies like Murder 2 and Housefull 2, is on a cloud nine these days. Bollywood’s actresses yearn for a role opposite Salman Khan and try to make friends with the man who virtually controls much of Bollywood. It all came on a platter for Jacqueline Fernandez as she bagged a role opposite Salman Khan.
Two of her films, Housefull 2 and Race 2, had grossed over Rs. 100 crores in collections. It is being reported that, Sajid Nadiadwala was looking for fresh pairs and zeroed in on Jacqueline after he and Salman Khan were impressed with her work. Previously, Deepika Padukone was being considered for the role. If things go as planned, Jacqueline Fernandez would be the female lead opposite Salman Khan in a remake of the 2009 Telugu hit, Kick. The Hindi remake has been titled the same, as well. Salman and Jacqueline may start shooting for the film as early as July this year!
With this film, Sajid Nadiadwala would be making his directorial debut. The film would be ready by next year and will be Salman’s Eid release in July 2014. Apparently, Sajid Nadiadwala has hired the services of Hollywood cinematographer Alexander Witt. Not only that, Sajid has also got international stunt directors Spiro Razatos and Philippe Guegan to work on this film.
While Jacqueline’s last two films have grossed over Rs. 100 crore, this movie is set to give her the leverage every newcomer in Bollywood craves!
