In view of frequent accidents – Demand for constructing fly over at Nantur and KPT junctions

Mangaluru, December 2: Due to frequent accidents taking place in Nantur and KPT junctions, innocent people are losing lives. Hence the government must immediately construct a fly over in these junctions demanded Sunil Kumar Bajal, Secretary of CPM Mangaluru city south union.

He was addressing a protest meet held in open space on Tuesday, December 1st organized by the CPM demanding for the fly over construction on the highway in KPT junction. In this place traffic problems occurs daily. Though the people are suffering, the people’s representatives act as they have not seen it, he alleged.

Secretary of CPM Mangaluru city north union, Krishnappa Konchady said, KPT junction and Nantur junctions are main entrance to the city. 6th longest main highway of India’s west coast is passing here. Not only the people of the coastal Karnataka, but also people from Kerala are also dependent on the International Airport located here, he said.

To reach hospitals, government and private offices, people have to pass through these junctions. Hence by constructing fly over in these junctions, the traffic problem should be resolved, he urged.

Lingappa Nantur, Dalith leader, Santhosh Shakthinagar the divisional convener of Horata Samiti and others also spoke on this occasion.

Yeyyadi-Konchadi CPM division secretary Naveen Bolpugudde welcomed. CPM branch leader Thomas Rodrigus, leader of Nantur CPM division, proposed the vote of thanks.
