BCCI brings Billawa Community together

Mumbai : The Governer of Maharashtra CH Vidyasagar Rao inaugurated Billawa Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 11th June at Smt. Radhabai T. Bhandary Auditorium, Bantara Bhavana, Kurla, Mumbai.

Addressing the gathering governer said “I am extremely happy to associated myself to inaugurate ths BCCI. Mumbai is not just a capital of Maharashtra. Mumbai belongs to those who contribute its development.” He recollected the contribution of Billawas, Bunts, Mogaveeras and other community to Mumbai. Speaking about Narayana Guru he said Narayana Guru is a great philosopher. He is not only wellknown in our country but also in the world. Narayana guru is mentioned by cores ad cores of people in the country. Our Prime minister’s visit to more than 30 coutries have made Indian trade to deveop further. World is keep to put strong partnership with India. I hope our business community will take the advantage of this. We need job creaters not job seekers, he said. Further governer told that more than 220 Indian languages disappeared in last many years. So I request Billawa community to protect your sweet Tulu language.

BCCI president N T Poojary, Bunts Sangha President and office bearers, Billawar Association president and office bearers felicitated the governer of Maharashtra.

Chief Gurst Jaya C Suvarna, Chairman of Bharat Bank said its a great opportunity mainly to the young billawa business community. The young business people from our community will benefit from BCCI. He extended his best wishes for its rapid growth.
Navin Chandra Suvarna president of Akhila Bharata Billawar Union, Mangalore said this is the 12th achievement of Billawas after the billawa unity has formed in the year 1912 under the leadership Sahukar Koragappa.

N. T. Poojary, Chairman of Billawa Chamber of Commerce presented brief introduction of the BCCI, Secretary, Adv Anand M. Poojary introduced the guests.

Successful entrepreneurs from the community Jayaram Banan, Delhi, Ramesh Kumar, Mangalore, Adv. Rohini J Salian and Rajashekar R Kotian being felicitated by the Governer.

Minister for Urban Development, of Karnataka Vinay Kumar Sorake expressed his pleasure for bringing all the billawas together and extended his best wishes to BCCI.
