22-year-old student to divorce man
Bride files for divorce after being badly beaten by new husband on wedding night because he couldn`t take off her dress.
Tragically, the bride, identified by The Daily Mail as Amy Dawson, did not know just how bad a temper the man she married had; or so it seems.
On their wedding night, her dress was stuck and would not come off. The bridegroom, carrying the succinct name of Mr Golightly, Gavin first name, completely lost it.
He hurled his wife to the floor, and repeatedly punched her.
The fairy tale wedding service and celebration ended with Ms Dawson boasting a cut eyebrow and bruises on her face and chest.
Golightly, 29, pleaded guilty to assaulting her but was spared jail.
Dawson, however is not sparing him and will divorce.
The 22-year-old student has a child with Golightly and the wedding took place at St Mary’s church in West Rainton, County Durham.
Golightly, from Sunderland, claimed he had been drugged and could not remember the attack.
