This was a scary situation for this 1-year-old elephant—14 hungry lions making all efforts to make the kill—but the baby elephant kept fighting and finally managed to escape.
According to sources, a journalist named Jesse Nash and a group of companions had gone on a game drive in Zambia . They happened to be on the spot when lions were attacking the young elephant.
The baby animal kept kicking the lions and managed to go into the nearby water pond. Some lions kept chasing, but soon retreated, as they ran the risk of getting hit by the elephant.
The brave elephant then came charging towards the lions and finally managed to escape.
According to the report, the elephant has since been reunited with his herd.
