Mumbai : The 26th Annual Day of Karnataka Sangha, Mira Road held on 16th February, 2014 at Mira Lawn Ground, Poonam Sagar, Mira Road East.

Bunts Sangha Mumbai president CA Shankar B Shetty was the Chief Guest. Hon. President of Mira Dahanu Bunts Shankar Shetty Virar and Buntaravani Chairman Nityanand Hegde were the Guests of Honor.

Hon. President of Karnataka Sangha Kishor Kumar Kuthyar introduced and welcomed all the guests.

K N Vijayakumar, M Krishnaraj Rao and Smt Sukanya S Bhat, achievers in various field felicitated during the occasion.

Guestshonored the students who secured highest marks in various examinations.

Dakshina Kannada Rajyotsava Award Winners Kum. Meghna M Acharya, Kum. Shreenidhi M Shetty, Kum. Sakshi P. Shetty and Ganeshprasad S Shetty were felicitated.

Addressing the Kannadigas the chief guest and the guests of honor expressed the necessity of Kannada Sangha’s in present days and the role of such organizations to the growth of our country.

In the presidential address Uday R. Hegde president of the Sangha remembered those who have worked for the growth of this Sangha in the past. He also spoke about the achievements of the Sangha.

Before the stage programme Satyanarayana Mahapooja, Haladi kum kum, dance and other entertainment programme held. ‘Enna Chikkamma’ Tulu Drama by Janani, Mangalore staged.

The other office bearers of the Sangha Udayachandra Rao, Harish M Shetty, Uday K Shetty, Damodar N Shetty, Gopalkrishna Ganiga, The chiefs of Sub committee Shivprasad Shetty, Jayasheel K Pijur, Shalini S Shetty, Shanta R Shetty and other dignitaries were present on dais.
