Mumbai, Feb 21: Konkani Bhasha Mandal Maharashtra organised a Kaviraj J B Sequeira Memorial Konkani Poets Meet on February 19 at Saraswati Mandir, Matunga, Mumbai. Ancy D’Souza Paladka was the resource person of the meet.
The programme began with the welcome address from the president of the association John D’Silva. Secretary Lawrence DSouza Kamani explained the importance of the programme. Vice President Albert W D’Souza was the cheif guest of the programme.
Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industries president Henry Lobo; Divo Editor Lawrence Coelho; Dramatist Francis Fernandes Cascia were also present. Cyril Castelino beautifully anchored the programme.
Resource person Ancy DSouza Paladka chaired the poetry session and explained the importance of the poetry and its writing methods. The following poets participated in the poetry session Francis Fernandes Cascia, Sudhir Kodkani, Rita Albuquerque, Irene Rodrigues, Philip D’Souza Kanjurmarg, Victor Concesso, Veronica D’Souza, Leo Fernandes, Cyril Castelino.
